Auburn Rogue: 'Violet'

I have been incredibly blessed and incredibly busy lately - Auburn Rogue, my small business, was asked to take part in the launch event for Reflections: 200 Years of Women's Fashion in Bathurst. 

I designed and created two original 1860's styled evening gowns, and the matching undergarments, as part of an afternoon event held at Abercrombie House on September 27th, 2014.

'Violet' (an original Auburn Rogue design by Joanna Knowles) is an intricate crinoline evening gown made from twenty meters of lavender taffeta and chiffon. It boasts puffed sleeves, a flattering v-shaped berthe and bodice, a decorative over-skirt, a beautiful white bow sash at one side of the waist, and almost sixteen meters of fine pleating. The shoulders and over-skirt are decorated with individually made taffeta bows.
